Integrating Google Tag Manager with CodeDesign Project

Google Tag Manager is an efficient method that simplifies the addition of various tags when working with Google Analytics or other tools. Once installed, you can effortlessly manage and add additional tags directly through this powerful tool.

To finish the whole integration process, we'll need to follow these three steps which are explained in detail below.

  1. Setup an account on Google Tag Manager.

  2. Add the container code on your CodeDesign Project.

  3. Publish and test if it's working.

Step 1 : Creating a Google Tag Manager Account

  • Head over to Google Tag Manager and click on the "Create Account" button located at the top right.

  • Enter your company's name, add your container name, and select the "Web" option.

  • Click on the "Create" button, agree to the terms, and Google Tag Manager will provide you with a code.

Step 2: Adding the Container Code to Your Project

  • In your project, locate the project settings in the bottom menu and click on it.

  • Navigate to the "SEO and Analytics" section.

  • Paste the head tag from the provided code into the designated area.

  • Click the "Update" button to save the changes.

Step 3: Publishing and Testing

  • To take your web page live, find the "Publish" button and tap it. This will update your web page with the new integrated tag.

  • If you want to test it, copy the link, paste it into the test field, and click the "Test" button.

  • Witness the magic as your tag functions exactly as expected.

Bonus: Adding Additional Tags

  • Once Google Tag Manager is integrated, you can easily include any other tags you need.

  • Click on the "New Tag" button, add and customize your tag.

  • Add a trigger to specify when the tag should fire.

  • Click "Submit," and your new tag is ready to roll.
