Step 1: Create a New Agent in Intervo.ai
Sign in/ Sign up to Intervo.ai.
After onboarding, click 'Create New Agent' and select the Agent type.
Give your agent a name.
Under the choose setup section, choose Website Widget.
Click Create Agent to proceed.
Step 2: Define the Agent’s Role
Every AI agent needs context to function effectively. This is done using prompts and a knowledge base.
Prepare a detailed prompt that describes the role of your agent. For example, you can define it as a virtual receptionist who can answer queries, handle bookings, and provide company details.[Sample demo for prompt and Knowledge base is available here]
Enter the prompt as you need in the field.
Click Generate Workflow with AI to build an automated conversation flow.
Step 3: Build the Knowledge Base
Your agent can be trained with company-specific details so it can respond accurately to users. You have several options:
Upload a Document (PDF, DOCX, etc.) containing company info.
Plain Text knowledge base where you can enter all the info manually.
Crawl Your Website by providing your domain.
Manually Add FAQs with common questions and answers.
👉 For this demo, we are using a PDF document with all the knowledge base info, that includes details about the business, services, scheduling protocols, and FAQs.

Once uploaded:
Go to Attachments → select the file.
Or type in the information through other options like plain text or website scraping.
Once the knowledge base is entered/selected, click Train Agent to complete the setup. Now Intervo will process the submitted data and create a knowledge base for the AI agent.
After training is completed, the playground dashboard will appear.
Step 4: Preview and Publish the Agent
Make any adjustments to workflows or responses if needed.
Edit the knowledge base if required.
When ready, click Publish Agent button on top right corner of the dashboard.
Step 5: Configure the Website Widget
Once published, you can customize the chat widget before embedding it on your website through the prompt that comes up right next or using the 'widget settings' button next to the 'Publish Agent' button.
Choose Widget Color – pick a color that contrasts well with your site background.
Set Widget Position – usually placed at the bottom-right corner.
Add Contact Email – this is used if a user prefers email communication.
Click Save and Publish to finalize.
Once widget settings are saved and published, scroll up to find the HTML Snippet (embed code). Copy this code—it’s what connects the chatbot to your CodeDesign website.
Step 6: Add the Chatbot to Your CodeDesign Website
Go to your CodeDesign builder where your project is open.
Click on the Project Settings button on the footer menu and head to the General tab.
Paste the embed code into the <head> section of your site.
Click Update in the section to save the changes and then Publish Website.
Now, your chatbot should appear as a floating button on your live site.
💡 Tip: If you notice the “Built with CodeDesign.ai” watermark, you can remove it on a paid plan by going to Project Settings → General tab → toggle off branding → Save and then publishing the website again.
Step 7: Test the Chatbot
Once live, test your chatbot as a user would:
Click the widget and choose between chat, voice call, or email options.
Start a conversation—ask about services, availability, or request a meeting.
Confirm the chatbot responds with the right details from your knowledge base.
For example, you can schedule a consultation and the AI will handle the booking according to your protocols.
