If an element is added (or stacked) on top of the other, there is a chance of overlapping. Z Index helps to avoid this chaos. If two elements, A & B respectively, are added onto the canvas, the element which has a higher Z Index value stays on top of the other.

You can adjust the value on your right sidebar. This feature can help you to define the Z-axis dimension of the respective elements.
